1
Think, what is extra?
Choose the right object.
2
To make work easier, people made many helpers – construction, farming, household machines and different gadgets.
For example, on a building site, people use construction machines that do all the hard work:
excavator,
loader,
concrete mixer,
crane,
steamroller.
3
Count the construction machines.
Choose the right number.
4
Help Jack. Move the construction machines to the right silhouettes.

In farming, special machines help do many different jobs.
For example, a tractor with special harrows is used to work the soil.
A tractor seeder is used to plant seeds in the fields.
On dry days, young plants are watered with a sprinkler.
A combine harvester is used to gather ripe grain.
The harvested crop is poured from the combine into a big trailer and taken to the grain store.
A baler helps collect straw into bales in the field.

Move to the field the machine that will help plant wheat.
7
Make a big truck from colorful parts.
Move each shape to its shadow.

You have many smart helpers at home!
Vacuum cleaner, iron, electric kettle, washing machine and fridge.
They are called household appliances.
All of them work on electricity.
When you use household appliances, you must follow safety rules.
Remember, you can use only the appliances your parents allow.
Never pull the cord to unplug an electric device!
Ask an adult to help you turn it on or off.
After you finish, always turn off the device yourself.
Water and electricity do not mix!
Never touch any electric device or switch with wet hands.
If you see damaged wires or sparks from a socket, do not touch them!
Quickly run and tell an adult.

Choose the household appliance in the room.
10
Think, what is missing in the bathroom?
Move the right household appliance.
11
First choose the device, then what it helps to do.

13
Count the household appliances.
Choose the right number.

Fire, gas and water are needed every day.
But when you stay home alone, you must be safe!
Never play with matches or lighters.
Do not touch the stove.
Always turn off the water when you finish using it.
Carelessness can cause an emergency.
An emergency is a danger that can hurt people.
If you see danger, tell an adult right away!
If it is a big dangerous situation, call emergency services for help.
